Elias Millward is a filmmaker who has worked on a diverse range of feature and short-form projects in both France and the UK, including Remy Benzaçon’s MA VIE EN L’AIR (2005), starring Oscar-winning actress, Marion Cotillard; and the Emmy-nominated documentary, HACKING DEMOCRACY (2006), directed by Simon Ardizzone.
Elias also spent several years working as Assistant to filmmaker Sally Potter (ORLANDO, THE TANGO LESSON, YES), on a slate of projects including the ENO’s production of CARMEN, which sold out to audiences in 2007, and the experimental feature drama, RAGE (2009), which premiered at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival.
Elias presently works for PPI, the international distribution company for Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation. Some of the past titles he has worked on include WATCHMEN (2009), STAR TREK (2009), MONSTERS vs. ALIENS (2008), IRON MAN (2008) and INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (2008)…
Away from his involvement in feature projects, Elias has produced numerous short films, including UNDER/OVER THE CLOUDS (2009), A DOG NAMED EMILY (2006), and a visual essay on the topic of “Hybrid Space” in which he interviews the artist and mobile clubbing founder, Ben Cummis.
